In a similar vein as the 4runner we repaired recently that had a failed transfer case actuator. The vsc light and 4hi lights are flashing and the traction control light and the abs lights are solid on. The purpose of the 4 wheel drive light is to indicate when you have engaged 4wd mode by selecting 4h.
